Feel Like It’s Time to Make a Change in Your Life, But Can’t Seem to Find a Way?
Working with a coach is often the first step many individuals take as they plan for a career move, a new job, a promotion, plan to start or grow a business, or anticipate a new season in life.
Sometimes, the necessity for a change has come unexpectedly.
That can create stress – with the effects rippling through other areas of life.
On the positive side, this can be a very exciting time of life!
What Do Coaches Do?
Coaches focus on creating a plan with you. Being your guide and providing accountability to help you conquer your goals. Coaching is not counseling. Counseling focuses on the past and coaching is very future oriented.
Coaching takes a variety of paths. Sometimes it may be a small number of meetings. For more challenging goals, coaches may design a multiple sessions over a period of time. Generally, it is fast paced – by the use of accountability and clear action steps to be completed between sessions. The coach wants to create action – and in the process can adapt to and move with the speed the client desires.
Coaches help clients set priorities and goals. Through personality assessments and other work, helps identify the clients “unique value”. In my practice we also focus on Purpose identification.
